Perfect Spot to Spend a Lake Anna Thanksgiving

Without hesitation I would have to say this is the perfect spot to spend Thanksgiving at Lake Anna. No, it is not in my house but it is not too far from there. Only a couple of coves away is a house that had been on the market. A lucky couple wrote a contract on it and although they will not be spending this Thanksgiving there they will have the opportunity to spend many other holidays at their new home including many Thanksgivings.

Can you imagine having your whole family spread out in this terrific kitchen/dining room combination. Sixteen can easily fit around the table and six more have room to spare at the island. With two refrigerators and a walk-in pantry filled with food there will be plenty for everyone.

Should the weather be warm enough (and in Central Virginia that is a very real possibility) time can be spent out on the screen porch or down by the water. The current owners were hoping to have one more Thanksgiving to gather at their Lake Anna getaway, affectionately named Charlie's Place after their dad. That wish is coming true. Settlement is not until December 4th, the week after Thanksgiving. Charlie's family is very happy to know another family is looking forward to creating memories here.

If you are looking for a place at Lake Anna to create your own memories please let me know. Or if you have property here that you are thinking of selling I can help you. I did it for the McCoarts and I can do it for you too.

Kate, this is so friggin' COOL!! I love the canoe on the ceiling and the use of the row of paddles as pieces of art! I may have to steal this idea someday...we just moved from our luxury lakefront home to a "ranch" that is still on the water, and we still have a lot with a dock and our fabulous pontoon, but someday we will need to get another cabin.

I had a client who built a rowboat in his bedroom soon after purchasing a cabin from me. He called it his B&B, his bed and boat room. I got to take photos once he launched it, earlier this spring. What a life!!!

Hi Gayle...Thanks so much for your comment. I think this home is super cool too. I was so happy to list it. The fact that most of the furniture and the wall decorations and art work conveyed made it a great buy. There is another canoe hanging from the ceiling in the living room plus lots of other special features.

I too love the paddles as pieces of art. Everything came together perfectly and adds so much to the charm of this home. Lucky current owners and lucky soon to be new owners.

Wow!  What a cool lakeside home!  OK.  Write it up.  Full list price, all cash, no inspection, 10-day close.  Where do I wire the funds?!
