CATCHING UP ON A LITTLE TIME TOGETHER

Catching up on a little time together. A week or so ago I was driving near the lake and came upon a scene that struck me as something I wanted to capture in a photo. It meant turning around and turning around again so that I could get close to a mom and young boy spending time together. Where? Well, it just happens to be one of my favorite places, Lake Anna of course.

Fishing at Lake Anna

ENJOYING LAKE ANNA TOGETHER

I asked the mom if it would be all right if I took a picture of the two of them together and she said it was fine. I am so glad I stopped to do this. These are the types of photos that I enjoy taking. When I come across a scene that depicts the things I love about Lake Anna I like to share it with others. This is one of those times.

Kate, I would be tempted to make a "whiffer-dill' as we describe a quick turn around to take a picture, too. And it was nice of you to ask for permission to take the photo first. Lovely photo.

Hey Kate, i love the photo and the moment you have captured.  It illustrate great things and I feel it can be a universal photo that many can connect with.  :)

Kate, it was so nice of you to ask the mom's permission!  And what a nice scene.

Kate what a geat scene.   I am not use to seeing a mom going fishing with her son.

Hi Mary...Well I learned one more thing on Active Rain. Thank you. Whiffer-dill. I do quite a few of those for pictures.

If people are a distance and I cannot ask I usually go ahead and take them but if they are close I like to ask. No one had said no but you never know.

Hi Laura...That is pretty much how it struck me when I initially drove past. I am very glad I got this shot. It typifies Lake Anna to me. A place for people to enjoy whether alone or with others.

Hi Jennifer...I liked that aspect of it as well as the feeling of togetherness that it exemplified to me.

Reminds me of good time when I was a kid. I need to spend more time with a fishing pole in hand.

Hi Charles...Yes you should and you also have some little fishing companions that might think that is fun.
