Roses thrive at Lake Anna and this is the time of year that we are blessed to see them blooming all over the place. As I show homes all around the lake I can't help but take a moment to appreciate the roses I see at many of the properties.

OUR ROSES
Fortunately, we have roses in our own yard. In spite of the threat of Japanese beetles every year I cannot imagine not having these gorgeous blossoms greeting me as I walk out the door or as I return home.
If you are looking for a wonderful spot to grow your own roses perhaps you'd like to see if Lake Anna is the place for you.

Those roses are my favorite color....just like a ripe peach. Thanks for the great photo. And, just as I was coming here, I noticed some previous post about your dog. I am so sorry. Words can't give you comfort for the loss, but knowing someone else cares can help. I do. You will meet again at the Rainbow Bridge!
Gorgeous, Kate! And, I do hate those Japanese beetles, for SURE! We're beetle-free right now but, just waiting to have to spread the Sevin Dust and hang the bags on the other side of the yard to get them away from the roses.
Gotta love the colors... Reminds me of the ones we had in the front yard growing up!
Hi Kate,
I love roses too! I have several. Love the varigation in color on this one. What kind is it?
What an amazing picture. You will be horrified to know that I ripped up all of my rose bushes that I inherited with my house. A gardener I am not!
Kate, I love the way the light comes through the petals. Really nice shot.
