Friday Foto - Getting a Look at Lake Anna

Friday Foto - Getting a Look at Lake Anna.  Even though we have lived here full-time for almost 19 years now I never get tired of going out on our tritoon looking at houses.  Naturally I have my camera with me when I go.  This is one of the photos I took in the early spring before the trees filled out.

Beautiful Lake Anna, VA - photo by Kate Elim

Early spring is a great time to get a good look at the waterfront homes.  Although this house would be very visible even in the summer there are many others that play hide and seek depending on the time of year.  When there are hardwoods between the lake and the house the views of the house change from season to season.

Loving Lake Anna the way I do, I don't care about the season so much.  To me, it is beautiful all the time.

I'm packing.. What a wonderful place call home.  We have had nothing but snow/rain for months.  I would love to live on the lake.  It is so beautiful and peacefu.  I love the photo.

You certainly live in a beautiful place.  When I had lived in Chantilly we would spend weekends at Lake Anna in the summer.

Kate I am with Joan, the lake is inviting. I hope you will sell many lake-front homes  this season.

Kate-great photo, I can easily see why you love the area. I bet it's even more beautiful when the trees, behind the house, fill-in. Best.

Hi Joan...I realized minutes ago that I had not posted today and I'm in the midst of the 31 Days of May Photoblogging challenge (maybe it's a contest, it's been so long I've forgotten).  Anyway, I need to do something and to do it quickly.  Clicked on the first lake photo in one of my files and this was it.  I like it to.

We've had phenomenal weather, a real spring.  Plenty of days in the 60s and 70s with rain now and again mostly in the evenings or at night.

New Hampshire will be gorgeous shortly.  You and I know that (I"m a displaced New Englander.)

Hi Sue...I wonder if I was living here then.  Where did you stay when you came down?

Hi Jennifer...I hope I do too!  In between trying I hope I get out on the lake more this summer than last.  It goes by so fast.

Hi Kate -- I lived in Chantilly about 30 years ago!!  How time flies.  We would head to the lake with 2 other couples who had tents and we slept in our custom van that had a couch that opened to a bed.  If it started raining everyone piled into the van!  The one fellow owned a boat that we would out cruizing the lake on.  We even had the experience of running out of gas out there and had to be towed!  The good old days.

HI Kate~ You describe many of us when you say you never tire of looking at houses in your community! Enthusiasm shines through when we have passion for what we do!

We are ten days away from the end of our 31 Day Challenge, and I have learned much along the way so far!

Best regards,
