We're in love with these two. There's no way to get around it. Every since we brought them home last June 5th, they have given us so much affection and plenty of things to laugh about. We enjoy watching them play with one another. They are frisky and funny, a perfect combination.
Although the plan had been to get one Cockapoo, when we found out that a little runt still needed a home we thought he might just as well be ours.
So instead of just getting Linda (aka Jelly Bean...she gets a little jealous if "he's" on our lap and up she comes) so we opened our hearts to Rocky (aka Somebody...when he does something wrong, Jim, the big daddy, always says "Somebody did something."). It's never Lindy or me that did it but he seems reluctant to name Rocky.

These two sad sacks are really happy pups, they are simply exhausted. After all, the two big labs that have a second home next door to us here at Lake Anna, came down today to do a little romping in the woods and swimming in the lake. Jelly Bean and Somebody had to remind them who really owned this part of the universe. Unfortunately it took some time to get the message across (don't tell them, but I don't think they were ever successful).

Dogs are such a wonderful addition to a family. I have a very large yellow lab. Even though, she's 8 years old she still acts like a baby.
Kathleen, They are precious! I just recently tried to talk my husband in to a friend for Dundy but I did not make any headway.
Hi Kate: They are so cute! My friend has a bichon named Jelly Bean! I have a bichon myself and we just love him. He's sitting behind me right now as I am typing this. Loves it there.
I am seriously thinking of getting him a companion since he has some separation anxiety. I hate to leave him so we take him everywhere we possibly can.
I am a severe dog lover and I have had five in my life. I do have to say that the small lap dogs are the most loveable and endearing. I hold him like a baby and rock him to sleep. He is one cool dog and for me, his love, devotion, and his entertaining antics are real stress busters.
Hi Tammie...Size certainly doesn't matter. When you love them, they are like babies.
Kate
What a lovely duo. These two look like they will bring a lot of joy into your live. I am glad they found the perfect parents. Enjoy these wonderful dog.
Hi Marchel...We had our Sam for more than 14 years and she died last Mother's Day. More than once I suggested to Jim that we get a buddy for her and he was never sold on the idea. He always thought that having Sam was enough for us to love.
Than when we were waiting for Jelly Bean to become old enough to bring home I suggested we take the little runt also. At first Jim said no but I told him it was going to be yes anyway. He adjusted to the thought and the moment he picked up Somebody he fell in love.
Please tell you husband our story and tell him that Jim wouldn't want it any other way now.
Kate
Hi Barbara...We are so happy to have both of them and they love one another. It is wonderful to see them together. I think you would be even happier with another one. It will make you feel better leaving yours alone when you have to.
That's funny that your friend has a "Jelly Bean" also.
Kate
Pets bring so much love into our lives, no matter what their size. Nice story and pics!
Hi Joan...Yes, they have found a loving home. They are as happy here as we are to have them.
Kate
I just fell in love with Jelly Bean and somebody, and Jim has a twin here in Vista, California: my mother-in-law's boyfriend!
When my last dog when to heaven, my husband was in CA. I googled "English Springer Spaniel puppies for sale in VA" and found a 8 week old litter in Virginia Beach...the next day I drove home with Cici and Pico....raising 2 is EASIER than raising 1....
Awww - they are so cute. I love dogs and they look like a wonderful addition to the family. They are lucky to have found you!
Hi Kate -- You are probably right in saying that another one would make me even happier. I just came back from an open house a little weary from a migraine earlier, and my 'baby' was there to greet me with open 'arms' and just beside himself with excitement. Now, that just totally made my day! I am sure you know what I mean!
Hi Kate- They are just too sweet. I lost my golden Maggie last August and keep thinking another sweetie is what I need but.... havent taken the leap yet. You, however have made me start thinking a little harder. :0).
Kate how wonderful, I can see why you would fall in love with them and Jim looks like a proud dad.
Kate I'll bet they are in love with you two also.
Kate - It looks like they found the perfect home and everyone is happy! What a great story and wonderful photos! A home is not a home without a dog, IMO. They bring us such joy! Jelly Bean and Somebody look very comfy together.
Hi Russell...If your mother-in-law's boyfriend is anything like Jim in temperament, she is one lucky woman. I know I am.
Glad you fell in love with Jelly Bean and Somebody. We did too.
Kate
Hi John...Pets come in all sizes and shapes just like people. It's the love they generate that matters. We've gotten a bit too old to have big dogs. If they became sick or injured, we wouldn't be able to handle them very easily. These two are the perfect size for us.
Kate
Hi Wallace...Good for you. They are two good looking pups and I'm sure they love you.
Kate
Hi Sharon...Thank you for thinking so. We tend to agree.
Kate
Hi Barbara...Yes, they are definitely better than an aspirin any day. Two might mean you don't even get the migraine in the first place! (Yes, that's stretching it a bit.)
Kate
Hi Martha...Please think about it. I'm sure you will not regret it if you do decide to get a dog. You know how happy you'll be.
Our dog, Sam, died last Mother's Day and just Saturday Jim mentioned how much he still misses her and how happy he is we have these two. That is when I took these pictures.
Kate
Hi Jennifer...Oh yes, Jim is proud but even more he is one happy dad.
Kate
Hi Charita...That's what's so wonderful. We love them and they love us. Perfect!
Kate
Hi Elyse...That's what makes it so much fun. We love to see them play and cuddle with one another. It makes us feel grateful that we have two.
Kate
Kate -- what cute little pals you and Jim have. I can see they bring many hours of happiness to you ... and you to them as well. They look tired but content in their place of honor!
