Caught some pictures of the pups experiencing their first snow. The decided right away that it tasted good which made it hard to get any pictures of their faces. Actually Rocky kept his back end towards the camera most of the time so I only got a couple of shots of him and several more of Lindy.
Here's pretty Lindy getting a good look.
I love Lindy's curly tail.
Rocky's one face shot. He's mixing his usual diet of pebbles with something new, a little snow.
Rocky needs equal time so here's his back shot.
It really does not look as though Lake Anna is going to receive that much snow this time but it is fun to be at home, watching football (good for The College of William and Mary...they won their playoff game 24-3), and enjoying the warmth inside while looking out at the lake through the snowflakes.

Hi Kate! HOW CUTE! I remember when my Barney saw his first snow--he tippy toed around for a few minutes then just went CRAZY running through it, stopping to romp and then running around like a crazy dog! He had a blast and I, unfortunately did not pull out my camera to capture it! Luckily you did! Great photos and enjoy the snow!!
Kate, They are both beautiful! My pups love snow and one is so little I have to watch him carefully :) I'm so glad it bypassed us....this time but hope you enjoyed it!
Cute-- may they and all enjoy the season. Happy holidays.
Hi Debe...As soon as Jim said he was going to but them out I grabbed the camera. We didn't get much snow but they stayed out long enough to end up soaking wet. I really have to teach them to obey the command, Down, much better.

Hi Carole...It is difficult to get a good picture of Rocky. His coloring pretty much obscures his eyes and nose so he becomes one dark grey fluff. We are surprised he grew as much as he has as he was only 4 oz., definitely the runt.
I don't think I've seen any pictures of your dogs. Please share.
Kate
Hi Bob & Carolin...We certainly will. Those pups make sure we enjoy every day.
Happy holidays to you and yours.
Kate
Hope the enjoy the snow.. it is so much fun to watch the dogs sniff and play in the snow! We are preparing for 4-6 inches... Ouch! I'm just not quite ready. I will have to get the shovel out... showings tomorrow....I set them up starting at 10:30 so I hope things will be somewhat cleared by then.
Very nice...Reminds me of the family pet we had when I was a kid. If only we could be so easily amused!
Hi Joan...It may be still snowing here (its too dark to tell for sure unless I get up off the couch to look) but it has not been very thick. I'm sure we're not going to have as much as you are.
Good luck on your showings tomorrow. Hope there's a contract written!
Kate
Hi John..It's wonderful to grow up with a dog. Our pups are doing a good job of keeping us amused at least when we're not cleaning up after Rocky.
Kate
What cute fuzzy little guys! It's so fun to watch animals interact and enjoy themselves.
Hi Chris...They are fuzzy. However, they are going to be groomed on the day before Christmas so they will look super for Santa.

Hi Kate- Awwww so cute. I bet with that thick curly mop ofhair of theirsthey are a devil to get the snow off LOL. I miss having Maggie to take out this time of year...she so loved the snow.
Just a smidgen of the white stuff this time for Lindy, but he sure seems curious.
Kate how cute, they both seem to be enjoying that snow. What beautiful pups!
Kate,
Like everyone has said "how cute"! Even adult dogs here aren't really sure what the white stuff is when we get it (which isn't very often!)
Funny, my human child seeing snow for the first time yesterday was about the same as your pups - including wanting to eat it. My canine child (who's seen snow before) didn't want any part of it...
Great pet photos. One of our new pups was having the time of his life over the weekend. He just loved the snow. We had a difficult time trying to get him to come back in the house.
Kate It is always fun to see puppies "discover" - they are no different than little kids
These pictures are precious. We can learn from observing from them... life? nothing to it!
Lindy has a tail! JJ has a poor little stump. These are great photos of my little doggie nephews!! Thanks for sharing them. They are both beautiful!
