Yes, Susan, I have a gift for you. You have asked not once, not twice, but I believe at least three times for photos of our "new" puppies. New is in quotes simply because we have had them for three months now. I cannot believe that Susan hasn't gotten her Uncle Louie or Big Sal or Guido to give fme a little nudge but I began to think I better not risk wasting any more time.
In honor of your 50th birthday I am sharing photos of JJ's cousins, Lindy and Rocky.
Here is Lindy...also known as Wicked Wendy. She is a very domineering young lady. There is no question who is boss between this duo. This photo was taken on the first day we brought her home. She was eight weeks old at the time.
Lindy is actually a very bright pup. She picks up on words quickly and responds beautifully...when she wants too. Told you she was a tough cookie.
I had wanted a buff colored female cockapoo with big dark eyss so I put my name on a wait list in February and paid a deposit. On April 14th Lindy was born and so was Rocky. There were 22 pups in all from three litters.
Most of the pups were taken right away. Others, like me, had paid deposits and were on the wait list. However, one little pup was not taken. He was the runt, definitely the smallest of all, weighing onlly 4 oz. Day after day I would look at that web site and there was the runt still available. One day I suggested to my husband that we should take him also. Well, he now resides at Lake Anna with us and we are as much in love with him as we are with Lindy.
Now, it is much harder to see Rocky's face especially his eyes because he is darker. He was black when he was born but is turning gray (believe me, if we weren't gray already he would have turned our hair gray). It has been fun to see his color change. Now only the tips of his curls (yes, he's pretty curly) are black plus his muzzle.
Rocky has an assortment of names. He is also known as Brando (after Marlon Brando in The Wild One) because he is wild. I wanted to change his name but my husband resisted. He is also known as Wacky Willie, Wiggle Worm, Mannie the Maniac, Mr. Beady (he has small, beady eyes) and a few other fitting names.
Susan, we are deeply in love with both of these critters. We enjoy their antics (most of the time) and find that they are providing us with hours and hours of entertainment.
One of these days I will post some pictures taken when they were a little bit older.
Has JJ asked for a playmate or does he prefer having you all to himself?

Well! Finally!!! Rocky and Lindy are absolutely adorable!!! Lindy looks a lot like JJ went he was a pup, although we didn't meet him until he was 12 weeks old. Kate, thank you! What a great gift to me, they are beautiful. My JJ lights up my life every day, every minute that we are together and I am so happy you have double the joy!! I have a husband who has grown to love JJ, shockingly, because he has never been a real dog lover. But two would have put him over the edge. I'm so happy for you!!! Thanks again for posting. "Finally"!! xxoo Miss seeing you around more often.
Good Morning kATE,
It's not my birthday, but I enjoyed the pictures. Thanks for sharing. It is always good to see you here.
Enjoy the Labor Day holiday.
Mary
Kate, They are BOTH adorable! I didn't know they were related! And I wish Susan a very happy birthday.
Wow, they are so cute. I am such a sucker for puppies, all puppies. Have fun with the new pups.
Good Morning Susan...I owed you this one.
When I first mentioned two pups to Jim, his response was "No!" but I asked him if I'd ever done anything he had asked me not to do and although he said, "Constantly." he certainly couldn't have meant it. Anyway I somehow convinced him that it would be wonderful. He finally succumbed. Of course once we went to pick them up he was smitten.
We cannot imagine having only the one. We often sit with one on my lap and the other sitting with Jim plus it is so much fun watching them play together.
Kate
Hi Mary...I'm glad you got to see my puppies also.
Happy Birthday to you whenever it is!
Kate
Hi Carole...I really should have put quotes around the word cousins because they really aren't related. However, I think JJ and Lindy look somewhat similar.
Kate
Hi Missy...So do I. These two are getting too big too fast. Just like babies!
Kate
Kate - I just wanted to stop by and say "Hi!". Cute pictures - clearly, that was the perfect gift for Susan.

Adorable .... Susan is adorable, but the puppies are too. :)
Happy birthday, Susan, and many happy returns.
Kate, you did this just in time. I heard Guido was on his way to see you. :)
Hi Jason...It was long overdue.
Thanks for stopping by. I've missed you and many others. Good to be back.
Kate
Hi Sylvie...I know. It was getting pretty scary. I could feel Guido's hot breathe on the back of my neck (and I don't mean that in a "romantic" sense).
Kate
Kate, have I mentioned that my Uncle Guido is my father's much younger brother who bears a striking resemblance to:
Now, what were you saying about his hot breath on your neck? lol! Just kidding of course. xxoo
Hi Susan...Just my luck (or lack of it). Why didn't I wait a little bit longer to post that darn thing.
Oh, did I mention feeling something??? I thought it was JJ coming over to visit us.
Kate
Kate -- What great new additions to your home! They are sooo cute... you will have to keep us updated on their antics!
Hi Joan...There are times I'd like to forget about their antics. They can be a handful but in spite of everything we are having lots of fun. Luckily they're beginning to outgrow their desire to chew on us every chance they get.
I'll be posting additional photos now and then.
Kate
Kate, those pups are too adorable for words. I think Rocky and Lindy have it made. Have you taken them for a boat ride??
I really love the smell of puppies noses....it is one of my favorite things in the world.
Stopping by again to enjoy my birthday present. Thank you again. Also, I took my own breath away with that picture of my father's much younger brother Guido. That is just a cry for incest!! Yikes! Once again I have to ask... did I say that outloud?
