If you are like Martha Brown and me, you must wonder where the time goes. Martha has come up with a neat way of capturing the very best times. I'm taking her lead and you might want to also.
Yesterday I spoke with my three children. I remember thinking when I talk with one of them it's a good day, when I talk with two it is a better day, and when I talk with all three it is the very best day. That's going on my calendar!
I know we all say...gee where did the year go? It's New Years once again and I barely remember the year I just lived.
Since I caught myself saying this more than once myself as the year came to an end I added a last minute change to my business and life plan for 2011. I added as one of my 'big goals' to STOP at the end of each day and think back over that days happenings and choose ONE thing that stands out as being a true pleasure.
The last two days have been easy as I have been fortunate to have had many wonderful moments to choose from. The real challenge will come as the year progresses and a bad day of real estate, or kids, or weather, or banks, or.... will certainly challenge my thought process.
To keep me going in the spirit of this goal I have decided to write what the days pleasure was on my calendar. Then when I get to the end of 2011 and I find myself saying....where did the year go??? I can look back and smile at all the little pleasures I had throughout the year.
After all the years are just flying by.
BTW- one of my pleasures of today was taking the time to listen to some great music while I drove to an appointment. Whoo Hoo!!
