Pay it Forward...Girl Scout Cookies for our Pharmacist. Last year I was at the Giant Supermarket by Salem Church and Leavells Road in Spotsylvania to pick up a prescription for my husband. He had just had a procedure for cancer and really needed the medication. For some reason there was a problem with our insurance company. Instead of simply leaving it for me to try to straighten out, my pharmacist took the time to call and took care of it. What could have been a very big problem was merely a few minutes delay.
When I walked outside I noticed that the Girl Scouts were selling their delicious cookies. A confirmed lover of their Thin Mints, I quickly purchased some boxes for home and then took a couple boxes back into the store and handed them to the pharmacist. She was so surprised and so happy that she gave me a big hug. The Girl Scouts benefited, the pharmacists did, and certainly my husband and I did.
I've always been a big fan of Thin Mints and always have a good reason to buy them, especially when I can share them with others.
Little acts of kindness go a long way any time of the year.
Unfortunately I do not have any pictures (nor cookies) to share with you. They never last long around me. Next time I'll try to get a photo.
